Camera Shots
Aerial Shot - An aerial shot is a shot of a scene is taken from an elevated vantage point than what is framed in the shot.

Close up shot - A head and shoulders shot often used to show expressions/emotions of a character. Also can be a shot of an object from close up

Extreme close up - a part of an object or person where it fills the whole frame - appears dominant if it takes up the whole frame.

Establishing shot - a shot where the scene is established. Gives audience the setting - e.g close up shot of a (road) sign

Medium shot - the frame of a person object or person from the waist up

Two shot - shot of two characters in the frame. Used to signify/establish some sort of relationship.

POV shot (point of view) - Shows a view from the subjects perspective. Usually edited to show the audience where the character is looking/thinking of.

Over the shoulder shot - looking from behind a persons shoulder at a subject

Overhead Shot - a type of camera shot in with the camera is positioned above the character, action or object being filmed.

Reaction Shot - a shot that shows the reaction of a character either to another character or an event within the sequence
High Angle - a camera angle that looks down upon a subject of a shot.

Low Angle- a camera angle that looks up at a subject or object

Canted framing - camera angle that makes what is shot appear to be skewed or tilted
